Wow, today was really exciting, its been forever since anyone decided to attack our base head on. The morning started off with a enemy confirmation call followed by a red alert to all units to their battle stations. The captain and Lieutenant Kyle spent the whole morning talking about the traps that everyone set up yesterday while poor Haroki was sent to scout the enemy forces through all the traps we set up. Haroki wasn't even on the base yesterday when we set up the traps so he didn't even have a clue about them. Even so the captain still sent him out there.
At least today ended well for Haroki he met his new girlfriend and he's gotten permission from the captain for vacation paid leave for his work today. Although his girlfriend is an enemy nurse the captain doesn't seem to care and he just let her walk around the base with Haroki. I wonder if that's a good idea, I mean what if she's a spy? Not to mention she's going to accompany Haroki off the base without anyone stopping her.
Lt. Kyle strangely enough doesn't seem to care about her either, when I asked him about her he said to leave her alone. I get the feeling she's more than meets the eye. If I remember correctly her name was Judia Laws, I'll remember her name for now. I'm sure it'll come up again in the future.

Day 1 Events
After alot of sneaking around I finally caught the captain on one of his antics in the hanger. Apparently he was working on his new weapon again.
I'm just glad that the captain is up to his silly antics again even though he doesn't act like it he is known as the Black Knight in our military force. Not to mention he is actually a Brigadier General even though he still parades around the base insisting that all new trainees call him captain or commander. I think this is going to hurt him one day since most officers who pass by simply consider him as what we call him as.
Oh well its his funny idiotic side that I like about him.
LT. Kyle is way to serious about everything, he should cool it and have fun once in a while!
It's already 2 yrs. into the war and no one seems to be letting up an inch.
Today we received a new batch of Assault Core's and artillery Armored Vertical Tanks to increase our perimeter defenses, but the new mechs are still outdated compared to the ones all the other units use. I wonder what the captain is thinking in that crazy and silly head of his to order such outdated mechs for us to use.
